Pete speaks at the NAACP National Convention
Pete attended this year's national NAACP convention in Kansas City as an elected
delegate from the local branch. Along with Colorado Springs branch President Rosemary Harris
Lytle, Pete presented a "Resolution In Support of Restorative Justice To Address Mass
Incarceration and High School Drop-outs." The delegates applauded as they passed the Resolution.
It was exciting to see principles and practices that Pete has advocated for in Colorado Springs
and seen adopted statewide taken to the national level.
